The ARTx Ideas Festival, taking place May 25-27, 2023, is a pilot event for the new ARTx: Art + Ideas Experience Arizona. Multiple art, music, and dance events will take place throughout the downtown Flagstaff area. As part of the ARTx festival, the Phoenix Avenue Gallery (2 S Beaver St, Ste 125, Flagstaff AZ) will co-host live and silent auctions of art, along with dance performances in collaboration with Human Nature Dance Studio. This event takes place on Friday, May 26th and Saturday, May 27th, from 3:00pm to 8:30pm each day.

The Pipeline Fire on the San Francisco Peaks was a devastating event that demonstrated the consequences of prolonged drought and extreme weather. In this image captured from the heart of Flagstaff, only a small portion of the fire is visible, with the vast majority hidden from view on the other side of the mountain. For those who call Flagstaff home, this scene evoked a sense of shock at the scale of the disaster and a fear of what may follow.
