After a year of shutdowns and cancellations, I am grateful that life is beginning to return to normal here in Flagstaff. The Arboretum at Flagstaff is now open for the season, and their gift shop is fully stocked and open as well. Some of my note cards, wood prints, and tile boxes are available for sale there, along with the work of other local artists. A portion of all gift store purchases goes toward supporting the Arboretum.
The mission of the Arboretum at Flagstaff is “…to increase the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of plants and plant communities native to the Colorado Plateau.” In addition to their research work, the Arb also engages the community through programs such as:
Walking tours of wildflowers and birds
Native plant sales
Outdoor concerts
Yoga classes
Art classes
Kids summer camps
